Clos Mimi

Jean-Marc Brocard

Montmains Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay 2021

It was outstanding. Had this with Mimi, Fatima and Fati at La Voile on Newbury Street. Paid over $100 for the bottle, but it was well worth it. — 4 months ago

Obsidian Ridge

Obsidian Ridge Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Mimi paid $29 for the bottle at Boston Wine Exchange on Devonshire. A nice, full, rich, dry, smooth Cabernet. Worth repeating when I need a $30 bottle. A step up from the usual $15 red. — 3 years ago

Famille Breban

Mimi Grande Réserve Côtes de Provence Rosé Blend 2023

A little bit more than a simple #provence #rose quaffer, expected strawberry, yellow peach nose, palate entry has a lovely texture and flavor of watermelon Jolly Rancher, a touch of spice on the finish. Refreshing! — 7 months ago

Yet again a great match for Sakana with Hsing/Mimi but this time Vollenweider provided good competition. The Omakase was same as last time, last day of the monthly menu so a good comp. Thought the food was actually a bit off compared to previous time but still what a great combo with the wines. — 2 years ago

Domaine Millet

Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc 2020

Paid $32 for a bottle at total wine. Same house as the wine we had at Quaglino’s Restaurant, but a different Sancerre. Mimi enjoyed this bottle. Clean, crisp, exciting! Would get again. — 3 years ago

Château Haut-Brisson

St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

After at least 8 weeks without alcohol (sorry to all my fans lol), I had to break my fast on my anniversary with at least a glass. Unfortunately, not a standout wine. I believe I had good luck with the 2015 and or 2016 vintages of this, but here... A blast of sour red cherries on the nose and palate, candied. Super astringent, bitter.

The good news is that for 19.years I have been married to a woman who has always been my champion, has always wanted the best for me, and has stuck with me through a lot of ups and downs, including wine. Thanks Mimi, I love you baby...
