The Wine House - Surprisingly smooth, not bad — 9 years ago
Dark color. Darker than the new moon. (Not really, more like dark, natural red licorice). Smells like horses rode hard and put away wet. Also sawed, wooden things. And musky jams made of black and red fruits. Cap gun smoke. Flavors are zippy, dry, savory. Bit of black tea. Maybe some gunpowder tea as well. And licorice. It’s thick, rich and gratifying. The Franc probably beefs it up. It’s a nice Cru for any crew. — 5 years ago

From a smaller Chateau about 20km south of Saint-Émilion, this 2010 Bordeaux is rich and goes well with red meat. — 9 years ago

Aromatic, dark fruits, berries, hint of leather/dirt.
Thick tears, dark red.
Dry, slightly acidic, slight feel on tannins, medium body, rounded.
Eaten with thaï food.
Compliments well the creamy beef curry. Brings out fruity notes from the wine. Creaminess emphasized. — 23 days ago
