1983 vintage. This estate was bought in 1979 by Jacques Merlaut who put his daughter Bernadette Villars in charge. At the time the estate was in poor condition, but this 1983 is already a very good effort that is still drinking beautifully, even if it is not as refined as the current wines, made by ClairecVillars who took over in 1992 after the tragic death of her parents. — 2 years ago
