Château Trapaud

Château Trapaud

St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend 1998

I think the reason others are rating this down is that they’re drinking it far too young. Trapaud is a really traditional chateau and the wines are made to age. We drunk this at 20 years old hoping it would be ok but it’d stand another 20 in the bottle, no problem. Beautifully round with good tannins, great colour and still a good smack of fruit. We drank with good cheeses and it was a real treat. — 6 years ago
