A bargain! After 6 hours decanting (by accident), the wine is dark ruby with inky purple notes and a high viscosity; the nose - the best aspect of this wine - is packed with red cherries and dried plums and figs, earthy leafy leather, sage, and light tobacco; taste is somewhat disjointed although the tannins stick with the right intensity to the right oral surfaces and the acid, fruit profile and finish are great. Had with Greek souvlaki. — 7 years ago
