Fun, bright, acid bomb, gets tarter as it opens. Unfiltered, but clean-ish funk! — 7 months ago

Very nice wine, full and fruity without being overbearing — 4 years ago
I really enjoy a nice Carmenere having been introduced to this varietal on business trips to Chile. Typically a great complement to grilled meats, this somewhat young Carmenere (2020 vintage) did not disappoint! Ripe berries but with just a touch of a oeppery finish is a nice pairing with the flank steak, grilled Serranos, roasted sweet potatoes and chimichurri sauce we had for dinner. Not sure how much variety there is between vintages but the 2020 seems like a good one! — 3 months ago

Soft strawberry entry, tangy mineral finish, nice. — 4 months ago
On first opening, bouquet of black cherry and blackberries, Big Red cinnamon gum, bell pepper, and smoky bowling alley; palate of black cherry and plum, char, and black tea with a medium-short finish. On the second day the candy and bell pepper smells taper, bowling alley becomes more of a whiff of pipe smoke, blackberry bramble emerges with spent firecrackers; on the palate the black pepper spice has some herbs de provence, black tea tannins are rounder and the cherry flavor more tart, a fuller body on the finish with notes of char, meat fats, and pepperoni spices. Was gonna go with 89 but it’s impressive once you decant for a day. — 2 years ago

Dark ruby color. Aromas of blue and black fruit, forest floor and leather. Ripe black cherry and dark plum in the palate with additional hints of dark chocolate, roasted poblano pepper, dried herbs, tobacco and baking spices. Touch of minerality on the long and lingering finish. Full bodied, bold and chewy. Thanks for opening, Ron B! — a month ago
