Really enjoyed this one—if you find Boen to have too strong of a taste, this is perfect. — a year ago
Lurid ruby-red. Ripe, oak-spiced cherry and dark berry aromas take on hints of smokiness and cola with air. In an ample style, in line with the vintage, offering lush blackberry, bitter cherry flavors and sweetening mocha and vanilla notes. Rounded tannins frame a persistent finish that leaves jammy berry and oak spice notes behind. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, October 2020) — 4 months ago
Delicious and sufficiently bodied to enjoy with appetizers. — a year ago
Easy and drinkable — a month ago
Easy finish. Sipping side-by-side with a Boen Pinot Noir blend from California, and we love the old world earthiness. It starts spicy and ends mossy in the best way. — 5 months ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Last ‘15. Owner and Winemaker Joe Wagner’s agricultural roots as a lifelong grapegrower and winemaker. Medium Ruby with black berry fruit aromas and sweet spice notes. On the palate blueberry & blackberry flavors with vanilla oak notes, well balanced. Soft sweet tannins, long finish ending with fruit and spice notes. Very nice. Great value.
