Antoine Olivier, Bourgogne aligoté, oublie le cassis 2020
Great aligoté nose with hay, bread, yeast, lemon and a tiny bit of butter ... The palate is delicious, with a great acid drive, a super dynamic mouthfeel, some notes of lemon, of pear, almost a metallic touch too. The mid palate is expanding and makes way to a big and broad finish with the same fruity notes, a bit of butter too, and almost an oxydative touch in the rear with a tiny roasted apple note. It's been a while since I last enjoyed a great aligoté like this one! The name of the wine says it all: lose the cassis, this doesn't need anything to be added to it. — 2 years ago
