Although billed as a dessert wine, this has some residual sugar. Made in an Amaroni style, this wine begs for dark chocolate and figs. Mostly Syrah, this behemoth dazzles with layers of black ripe fruit. It's not cloying or heavy. Magnificent effort. — 9 years ago

2011 Tiganello Antinori. This Italiano goodness is unprecedented. This wine, Amaroni, and Brunello are the best of the region. Never disappoints, no matter the year so far. Very fruity for typical earthy Italian wines. — 9 years ago
