Coonawarra mint together with blackberry aromas. Cabernet tannins with a touch of bitterness - quite firm even though medium weight - tasting way younger than 13 years. The Wynns Black Label Cabernets have amazing longevity from their extensive resources of premium Coonawarra Cabernet fruit. One of the best value Cabs in the district The current vintage (2019) can be sourced for around $30. This 2009 will last until well into the 2030s. — 18 days ago
This wine must be the best value red in Coonawarra and also from the great 2018 vintage. Excellent value at $17.50 per bottle. Initial aromas of mint and blackberry. Excellent structure for such an inexpensive red. Bought this at the Cellar Door exactly a year ago when we were in Coonawarra doing vintage at Bellwether. Around 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Shiraz. Weirdly, another thing I liked was the really light empty glass bottle. — 3 months ago
Slightly to aged. Still fruitiness. But on the earthy side. — a month ago
A big full bodied red as you would expect given the style and the vintage. Plum, black currant, mocha, liquorice and the remnants of too much American oak in its youth but now settling down and coming together at 26 years of age. At least another 10 years future in it I would say. After a couple of hours in the decanter a very good Cabernet but not particularly identifiable as Coonawarra, although rereading the label the grapes were sourced from a few districts in South Australia. Very Penfolds in style. See 2 previous Delectable notes going back a few years. — 2 months ago
Coonawara cabs are better than you think. And that’s all I have to say about that. — a month ago

This Leconfield 2020 Cab Sauv came in the sample pack I was sent and it went down a treat! Definitely a nice taster.
In the glass it’s a juicy plum red colour. On the nose it’s rather earthy/forest like alongside having notes of blackberries, and vanilla oak. On the palate it’s fruity and fresh with plentiful black cherries and berry flavours. Nice full flavour without being overpowering. Balanced and delish!
