Magnum @ 8 years
49% Grenache, 27% Syrah, 24% Mourvèdre
Bottle waxed, crumbly cork, be prepared to use ah-so (?sp, double prong opener) and filter into decanter, some yeasty sediment at very end of decant.
Enjoyable on open, better with 2-3 hour decant. Baby with long life ahead. — a year ago

Sweet tobacco nose led a smooth and lighter BdM that’s likely past its apogee but so compelling. Lithe and subtly layered, the power it once held is replaced by soft notes of nutmeg, dark cherry and vanilla. Nice, but drink up. Note that this is not the PS (I had mis-ID’d previous bottles, confusing labeling from SP). — 8 months ago

SP _. Big fruit. Very dry. Low tannins.. opens up. Great with cheese — 6 months ago
N: Very minty, earthy right out of the gate. It sure smells like Tuscany, one vineyard in Gaiole(sp) I believe. Some liquorice and crushed stone/tar. Dark flowers.
P: Light on it’s feet w prominent acidity. Earth, graphite, black fruit, med finish. It begs for food.
Held up spectacularly overnight in fridge w just a rubberized cork seal. — 8 months ago
