Manuel José Colares

Casta Ramisco 1997

Mushrooms and eastern spices on the nose, cranberry and cedar palette. Secondaries definitely have taken over, tannins super smooth. — a day ago

Antonio Bernardino Paulo da Silva

Casal da Azenha Red Blend 2014

Interesting Portuguese wine, grown right by Colares but not in the DOC. Powerful wine, with dark red and black fruits, tobacco, tar, and great spice. High ABV, notable international the nose but less so on the palate. Available in NYC for a good bit less than $20 per bottle: not bad! — 3 years ago

Região Demarcada Vinho Tinto Ramisco 1945

Unbelievably fresh and acidic still for such an old wine. Beautiful fruit still, and secondary notes. Gorgeous wine. — 12 days ago

Colossal Reserva Syrah Blend 2015

Portugal produces great value red wines. Colossal is one of them. Full bodied blend of native grapes. Always a nice inexpensive treat. Intense red, black fruit and spice. Smooth tannins and nice nose. A treat. Great with grilled steak. — 19 days ago

Quinta das Setencostas Alenquer Periquita Blend 2015

Ihan hyvä viini, mutta ei erikoinen. Sopii siemailuun ja voisi olla hyvä vastapaino rasvaiselle ruualle. — 12 days ago
