Porta 6 Vinho Tinta Roriz Blend 2021

Surprisingly good for the price. Bold and full bodied with a lingering peppery note. Robust. Had it with charcuterie but easily overpowered it. Probably better with steak or something more flavorful. Enjoyed with dark chocolate afterwards. — 9 days ago

Collares Ramisco 2015

Light garnet, medium body, accessible tannins even young, though we know this can age forever. High acid, Nebbiolo-like, feels cool climate. Pomegranate, cherry, bit of smoke, tar and dried herbs, perfect shareable size too — 2 months ago

Quinta da Fonte Bela

Paxis Red Blend 2019

Deep purple in color; plum, baking spices, and black cherries on the nose; medium minus acidity; medium minus tannins; tastes like blackberries, plums, and maybe blueberries with a long finish. Probably a crowd pleasing wine. Easy drinking. — 4 months ago

Casa Santos Lima

Reserva Confidencial Red Blend 2018

Had the 2016 and it was quite impressive, the 2018 was similar - very generous and engaging nose, maybe lacked some cohesiveness on palate, so maybe check back in a year or 2. Still over-delivers for $11 — a month ago

Viuva José Gomes da Silva & Filhos

Collares Genuino Branco 2016

Floral, white stonefruit aromas and flavors, still very youthful, complex and very long, lingering finish, excellent Colares (Malvasia de Colares is the grape)!! — 4 months ago
