Medium- body, black cherry, toasty spice, dark chocolate, soft tannins and an almost crisp acidity. Like a bolder Pinot Noir. Fairly easy to drink, but nothing to ooh and ahh about. — 9 years ago
Ripe red cherries, vanilla, tobacco spice, herbal notes, nice acidity and tannins. Legs for days. Brings back nostalgia of the cherry-vanilla flavored Swisher Sweets I smoked in high school to make myself feel cool. — 10 years ago
Juicy, silky, subtle plush tannins with nice ripe dark fruits like plum and blueberry and tobacco spice notes. Very easy to drink! What a great value! — 7 years ago
Got lots of ginger spice, mineral, dark ripe fruit, earthy forest floor and herbs. Nice acidity and tannins. Noms. $18.99 from Wally's Wine Club. — 9 years ago
Was on the fence with this one. Definitely tasted better after breathing for an hour but it's kinda schizo with changing aromas and flavors throwing it off balance (and they aren't good aromas and flavors either). Although I may be drinking this past its prime (5 years old, 2010), this is my evaluation. Thin body lacking structure, nose of bitter green herbs, anise, mineral and tastes kinda like tart mud-covered dark plums. UPDATE: wine tastes better the next day. Wow this wine needed about a day to open up. The fruit has come out a little more and it's not so tart and all over the place. Pretty good! — 10 years ago
This Portuguese wine is a blend of Tinta Roriz, Alfrocheiro, and Touriga-Nacional. Very elegant, like a bolder version of a Pinot noir and less fruity. Nose of allspice, vanilla, plum and mineral. Very soft, finely integrated dusty tannins and well done balanced acidity. Notes of savory spice, lots of minerality and a very subdued, concentrated fruit--something like unsweetened cherry juice or cassis liqueur. Got it on sale for $6.50 at Cost Plus World Market but it was the last bottle and randomly placed in the store. After searching online, it doesn't seem like it's sold in very many places. — 9 years ago
I normally find malbecs kind of boring, but this one is delicious! Smooth, supple and sophisticated dominated by concentrated black raspberry & plum notes without being cloyingly jammy. After several minutes of aeration, the nose smells like caramel candy even though the wine is not sweet! — 10 years ago

Good mouthfeel with red fruits, notes of cherry, fennel spice and tobacco with subtle tannins. Easy to drink wine and good value for a Rhone! — 7 years ago
