I'd agree with others that it's smooth but with it comes lack of interest. Although I admit I don't drink a lot of merlot, I'd say this one falls way off my desired taste. And when you pay double the going rate (here in Tokyo), expectations are a wee bit higher. — 9 years ago

For the price ($18.95) I wasn't disappointed to serve this to friends. Nice, if not underdeveloped, complexity. In 3-5 years this will be even more delicious. — 8 years ago

For the money (¥1500 in Tokyo), this is good enough to drink daily. Smooth but with depth. Med tannins that give way to a nice dark fruit. — 9 years ago

千円なのに美味しい。For $10, it's better than I expected. Not much to write home about but a glass whilst doing housework, why not? If I bought this for the first time and poured a glass for a non-wine drinker, I wouldn't be ashamed. I'd bury my head in the sand if I poured this for a wine lover. — 9 years ago
