Med-high acid offsets high alcohol content to make it a pretty balanced chard; lots of tree fruit (lemon the most prominent) with a hint of white floral; vanilla and oak on the finish. Smooths out on day two. — 12 years ago
Wine Review: Deep rich dense purple in color; prominent black cherry and a tinge of leather in the bouquet with the concentrated sting of high alcohol; lusciously ripe back cherry with decent tannin but the alcohol is still a bit unbalanced in the first couple of sips. Will update if it mellows out before I'm tipsy enough not to notice/care. — 11 years ago

Really well balanced gem! Acid is still lively enough that it drinks more like an 09. Soft French oak, smoke and a little tart black cherry. Even better with the babe! ;) — 11 years ago
