Nina recommended this bottle to me. The label says dark and jammy with toasty vanilla notes, and I can actually taste all of that. I think I can also taste or smell the bourbon whiskey barrels that it is aged in. Very fruity and delicious but a little sweet for my tastes. — 3 years ago
Tried this as part of Claire‘s blind taste test night. I thought it smelled of berries, a little floral, and a little spicy like clove. I thought it was jammy, the color was dark and thick, not transparent. I thought it was not very acidic, had a medium full body, a smooth mouth feel, and mid-range, we’ll-integrated tannins. The finish seemed balanced to me. — 3 years ago
Wendy recommended this for a shoulder season drink—not as heavy as a cab or some Pinot noirs, but not ready for whites yet. It is tasty but not my favorite. It’s very fragrant. I smell chocolate or something sweet. Lighter color than other reds. Low tannins. Light finish. I think I prefer gamay for shoulder season. (Eg, Beaujolais-Villages). — 3 years ago
Easy to drink. Smooth, fruity. — 3 years ago
Claire and Vinny brought this. Yum. Dark rich color; fruity smell; not sweet but fruity; 3/4 acidity; medium body; juicy, smooth; medium tannins; smooth and clean finish. — 3 years ago
Tried this as part of Claire’s blind taste test night. I thought it smelled earthy/oaky/vanilla-y. It seemed slightly more sweet than some of the others; less acidic. It seemed medium bodied with a lighter mouthfeel—it seemed waterier than some of the others. The tannins seemed low to me. It had a nice finish. — 3 years ago
I wanted to try a Kermit Lynch wine after reading Marissa Ross. I find this very good – – not so fruity as that Cooper and thief red blend, which is good for me. A little dry, a little acidic, a little after-finish which I like. — 3 years ago
Made for NHLC Power Buy Program. I expected to really like it but have to admit I do not. Smells offputting. Tastes ok—smooth with a light finish but unpleasant undernotes of alcohol. — 3 years ago
Bought this to make chicken Marbella on marthastewart.com’s recommendation. Seems good to cook with but boring to drink. Almost no smell; low acidity; light body; smooth texture/mouthfeel; low tannins; light finish. The whole thing seems so light as to be watery. Maybe good for day drinking. — 3 years ago

My bottle did not say Corvina blend, just Allegrini Valpolicella DOC 2019. I Didn’t love it at first but the next day it was better – – maybe it needed to air out?, or maybe I was prepared for it. Different from Gamay—not fresh but earthy. Lingers in my mouth. — 3 years ago
