I've had both the 2011 and the 2012. The 2012 has riper fruit flavors and gamey notes. As someone previously mentioned, it smells like bug spray but not in a bad way. The 2011 has dark concentrated fruit flavors but less ripe. It's a bit more acidic. The herbal notes really shine through in this wine along with some earth. The wine has a long spicy finish. The 2011 is definitely more Rhone. — 9 years ago
