In the fruity side of a Chardonnay. — 9 years ago
Big body and strong flavor of peach and spice. Some tupelo honey in the middle after it opens up but always a dry finish. This needs something to meet or match it. I think most people will find it too much on its own. — 9 years ago
Bright acid and dusty berries. Young fruit. Interesting to see a Pinot noir in a tall bottle. — 9 years ago
Really enjoyed. It. Light in body without being a pushover. If you needed one bottle for the whole menu, I can't imagine doing better. — 9 years ago
Nice even blend. Too much acid for my tastes but is could help it with the fruity nose. Makes a nice match for white meat dishes. — 9 years ago
Strong flavors of berries and cherries with a fairly smooth but strong tannin and more acid than I want. Good value wine. — 10 years ago
Heavy sharp and spicy, if you are grading in a curve for Pinot noir. Probably will make a good value to age it a while if you can find a decent deal on a case. — 9 years ago
I have always loved the hospices de beaune. I will be so sad when I run out of them. This one from Pommarde was a little more neutral a balanced than what I'm used to but still excellent. It had the richer fruit and dusty old world character that I love and I'm accustomed to from this producer. — 9 years ago
It's cheap and not terrible but a Chardonnay without any oak? I may as well drink a more pointed varietal. It's caught in the middle. — 10 years ago
Robert Morrison
It feels like a much more aged wine than its actual years. Great balance of acid and tannins. Deep berry flavors and old wood on the nose. — 8 years ago
