Stern swirl, firm and crystal hugging. Very patient, defined drip forming like stallectites holding onto balloons. Unique because even though it seems heavy, it’s a soft and delicate Shiraz echoing Pinot.
Dense oaky scent with wafts of apples and soft black currant. Beautiful smooth first sip, like tasty velvet. A slow burn on those medium bodied tannins which develops harmoniously. Absolutely delectable from start to finish. It’s not over burdened or over powering, just there to be as beautiful as the west wind. A wonderful companion to tonight’s lamb roast. — 5 years ago
Deviously delectable and quaffable beyond measure. Soothes generously and the fruity, deep oaky tastes discern slowly revealing strength and endurance!!!
Discovered at Ingleburn BWS en route to a wedding weekend, now a regular staple in the wine fridge. Trying to cellar but busty bosom bottles make it challenging, or it’s just too damn delicious. Need to hide it from myself. Enjoy anytime with anything or anyone. Stat. — 5 years ago
Scent of black currant (think Pastilles), spicy like a Mediterranean salad.
Really slick rapid swirl, tears close together and heavily sticking. Swirl appears to stick to the glass like bubble wrap. Viciously viscous. Black ochre appearance, dark through & through. Old Gold Chocolatey on first sip, beautiful first impression. Taste immediately slackens and dries out (tannins?) leaving a dragging acidic sensation. Ends poorly. — 5 years ago
