Hard to go wrong with a pink Sancerre, even if it is stripped down to stainless steel and mechanization. It's still delicious. Not likely a blend as the data base lists but 100% pinot noir. Had at my new love, Fisher's in Orange Beach, AL with Murder Point oysters. — 8 years ago
The Division wine co. obsession continues...Oregon "Beaujolais". Buoyant strawberry and cherry fruit, soft tannins, light body, very friendly and versatile — 8 years ago
Wine base with herbs and grape spirit added to make an aperitif with nutty, savory aromas and silky mouthfeel. Viscous and a bit sweet in the finish, sip it straight, pair with olives, hard salty cheese, marcona almonds. — 8 years ago
Highlight on a recent trip to Lodi, CA. Old vine cinsaut rose - bright, delicious, great acid, lovely quencher while traipsing through 100 degree vineyards. — 8 years ago

Cabernet with a smidgen of syrah from outside Jerusalem, Israel. Smooth, opaque with vibrant fruit and good perk, gentle tannins. Matched well with baked lasagna. — 8 years ago
Piedmont in Mendocino, native yeasts, half old oak/half stainless on lees. Super delicious, meets the hype and then some. Barbera followed, we both preferred the Arneis. Bright, good acid, light-med body, plenty of interest to hold your attention. Had at Scopa in Healdsburg, CA. — 8 years ago
Tha naturalist's natural wine - a methode ancestrale aka pet-net sparkler with the requisite sugar on the palate and loads of wild strawberry fruit. Good match for Southern cuisine that's so often a bit pickled and spiced. Had at Angeline, New Orleans — 8 years ago
Pig & Vine
The chenin that'll make you love chenin. Every freaking time this wine blows my mind and stirs up "special feelings." Native fermentation, no fining, exotic fruit flavors, stony limestone hints and a kiss of tannin. Tremendous acidity, languishing finish. Would love to revisit in 10 years. Purchased at The Carriage in Florence, AL. — 8 years ago
