What a beautiful wine. Surprisingly approachable and soft for a young Nebbiolo, while still showing the structure and harmony these wines are famous for. For the money, a 10! — 8 years ago

A super Bordeaux. Reminds you why don't need to break the bank to get France's darling. Nose, balance great weight and terroir. Love it — 8 years ago

Pretty much as advertised - a nose and first taste of ripe cherries followed by some darker, richer cooked berries and plum with a little back-end tobacco. A nice lingering aftertaste. Medium-bodied. Overall, a very classic good California Pinot Noir. — 8 years ago

A solid Nebbiolo. Acid, tannins, fruit. Dry. I suspect more time in the bottle would bring this around a little more. But not bad at all. Serve with Pork. — 8 years ago

Yummy in a bottle. A real great example of Pomerol and what a little time can do. Beautiful fruit, acid and tannin balance with lingering power to improve almost anything you're eating. — 8 years ago

Different. Almost challenging. I was thinking of old-fashioned hard candy when I drank this. Which made me think of my grandparents house. Which made me think of their dog Bert who needed to have his balls chopped off, but didn't. Burt had overactive testosterone so he'd hump pillows, plants, books and just about anything stationary. It was a violation just being in the same room as the damn dog. Same as this wine. — 8 years ago

Outstanding example of Tuscan craftsmanship. Rich with meaty oak and restrained sugars. An absolute pleasure cruise with grilled beef and large breasts. Intensity in 10 cities in 1 bottle — 8 years ago

Solid California here - developed stone fruits, cedar, sugared espresso. It's got weight without overpowering the pallet. Only off-balance a bit in the backend with muddled sugar/alcohol, which I think will be corrected with some age. But good stuff. — 8 years ago
