Without decanting, It’s a little watery and has an unpleasant finish. Peppery but not tannic. Nothing old world about this one. Some funky supporting notes on the pallet, kinda like wet slate or oyster brine. The marketing on the bottle is all about the challenging conditions the grapes tend to grow in but I would pitch it more like a red that pairs with fatty fish entres. It has a kombucha like character to it for a red wine. — 8 months ago

It’s missing something. I let it open up for a few hours as well. It’s too acidic, coming off as unbalanced with no complexity. There have to be better $20 Bordeauxs. — 8 months ago

It will be good with some food, like a pizza, but it’s not expertly balanced, a little overly acidic and not a tremendous amount of depth of flavor. Still a good affordable Bordeaux I might say. — 2 months ago
