Lovely deep red, smooth Rioja. Notes of liquorice, vanilla and oak. Mature and rounded palette with nice fruit flavours of cherry. Slight acidity on the finish makes it really good, rather than knockout. Might get even better with more years in the bottle. Very good value at under £20 — 9 years ago

Very nice, fresh, drinkable white burgundy. Not terribly complex but with pleasant citrus notes. Went well with sea bass starter. Nice enough that we had a second bottle. — 9 years ago

Still plenty of life in this Aussie Shiraz. All of the typical power but surprisingly refined. Dark berries and hints of Rioja like vanilla and cigar box. Very happy I have 3 more bottles in the cellar — 9 years ago
