A particularly reserved Kistler. But, super smooth and balanced. Light tropical fruits on the pallet give way to a lingering butterscotch finish. Delicious! — 6 years ago

Really not for me. A somewhat intriguing nose, but the pallet and finish are harsh, and we were left not really wanting to drink any more. Put a cork in it, stuck it in the fridge, and opened something else we knew we would like. Is this terrible? Absolutely not. It would be a perfectly acceptable daily-drinker, or a fun wine to bring to a party (cool, Hungarian wine!), but it really is not something we will seek out again. — 7 years ago

Still a baby. Intense dark fruits--blackberry and cherry--on the pallet, and very smooth, this has a long ways to go to fully mature. We will wait 3-5 years, and try another then. Anticipate the score will only go up. — 7 years ago

A soft nose of blueberries and mocha gave way to a strong palate of blackberries and wood (cedar?). Strong grippy tannins and moderate acidity of typical of a petite sirah, but the lower alcohol level (13.4%) made this quite different compared to other Petites. Really a fascinating wine with a lot of depth that shows the care of the winemaker. Decanted and let stand for about 20 minutes. Drank over 2+ hours. — 7 years ago

Deep dark bold rich red color, but bouquet of blackberries and summer berries. Spellbinding nose, this is drinking so well right now, but clearly has many years left to evolve. Drank over two nights, and was great on pop-and-pour, and 24 hours later. Really special. — 7 years ago

A simply outstanding Chardonnay. Everything I want in a white wine. Layers and layers of depth. Movie-popcorn buttery mouthfeel. So soft and alluring, but an intensity that goes on and on. We have one more bottle. I will try to keep my hands off it for a couple of years to see how this evolves. — 7 years ago
