Del (means South) 2013 cuvee of Merlot, cab sauv, can franc, and little kekfrankos. Aged in small Hungarian medium toasted barrique for one year, then aged together in one large barrel for half year, then one year in bottle. Nose is a pretty mix of attributes of all four. Nice tannins, not overly. Very pleasant little wine. — 9 years ago
2012. This is a next-level olaszrizling that surprises you with nothing but a sensation of super-clean in the glass on the nose. Ah but then you take a sip and start getting the layers. Though this is South Balaton there is a nice mineraliness to it. Golden yellow, bright soft fruits. — 9 years ago
Winery is correct but is kekfrankos. Really nice little starter for red flight. Nothing special but pleasant to drink. Small winery, North Balaton, non-volcanic soil. Sour cherry notes. — 9 years ago
2013 Sauska Syrah, 14%, Nice syrah -- needs to open up. Big pepper, nice tannins. Sauska consistently turns out a very good wine, whether red or white. — 9 years ago
Nice chard with the mineraly upfront on the palate. Green apple color in the glass and mouth, along with sweet peach. — 9 years ago
Never have I put my nose in a glass and gotten nothing but paprika (the pepper, not the red powder spice)). Extraordinary! In the glass is pure sauvignon blanc, soft and smooth with only a slight paprika taste. Chile's oldest winery, first production 1870. — 9 years ago
This is a wonderful olaszrizling from a small North Balaton producer. Begun in 2014 which was a bad year for most of Hungary, their 2015 wines are superb. Unfortunately they were one of the wineries whose vines were nearly 80% destroyed during a super-cell storm. Normally producing 8 wines, probably only two this year. It's a pity but I really look forward to seeing how they recover and the beautiful wines to come next year. This was a typical green apple and bright fruits wine with just my right amount of mineral. — 9 years ago
Small vineyard, 12hect, aged in used, large barrels. Beautiful and big Merlot, gorgeous deep purple in the glass. Nose immediately hits you with smoky, spicy, tobacco, chocolate. The most interesting is that mouth taste that says wait a second...is that a slight sweetness I am getting? Yes it is! The combination is amazing. Continually evolving in the glass -- I don't want to finish it because I want to see how it continues to change. Absolutely superb showing! — 9 years ago
2013 80% Merlot 15% cab\sauv. Very nice typical French smoky pepper spice Merlot nose and mouth feel. Dry and right amount of tannins. — 9 years ago
