9.1

Classic Pauillac, good balance of red fruit and leather, spice and a good tannic backbone to this classic minerally effort. It is a Bordeaux drinkers wine- others may find it on the leaner side- but they'd be wrong, this is elegant Bordeaux and paired with lamb is lovely! Drinking well now and would drink up over the next year or two. 91pts — 9 years ago

This is Domaine la Sarabande 2011 effort from Faugeres, it is a deliciously complex mix of Grenache, carignan and Syrah- lovely dark brambly fruit and spice, great balance and outclasses any CNDP at its price level by a street! Cracking ! — 10 years ago

Very good Petit Chateau- nice blackcurrant fruit but supported by nice cigar box notes and a lick of spice. Classic 2008 vintage. Nice tannins and worked very well with lamb. Good value at €20 a btl. 89pts — 10 years ago

Cracking wine. 2007 vintage drinking superbly after a short decant. Wonderful dark plummy fruit but backed by nuances of truffle, french oak, velvety tannins and a long, long finish-- if this was from Pomerol it would be 3 times the price! — 10 years ago

Classic red fruit and a hint of spice in the nose. Palate is elegant- cherry/plum red fruit but balanced with good tannic structure. Pretty good, would drink up soon, - 88pts — 10 years ago
