Another beautiful wine, showing how well Alsatian wines age. What a treat! It makes me want to go out and get a mixed case of ageable Alsatian wines!

This is fine, but has a very thin body that doesn't really hold up to richer Italian food. It might be nice with a very mild medium to hard paste cheese, or just as a quaffer. — 9 years ago

Still had a nice racy energy about it. You could taste that it had mellowed, and you could see the beautiful color it had turned after all those years in the bottle. But it still had enough oomph going on to give it a really fascinating combo of elegance and energy.

Absolutely delicious with a dark chocolate cake! Really nicely balanced. Tannins are already tame. A little earth, a little black pepper, a little dark berry fruit, all in nice proportion with each other. — 9 years ago

Lovely Gewürztraminer - great depth of flavor and all the right spices to make it show off the choucroute and vice versa

Absolutely delicious. Really fun to taste against an aged Gewürztraminer. We were able to pair both wines with choucroute and see which pairing we preferred. In my case, I couldn't decide. They were both great pairings offering different nuances.
