3 years of elevage in large neutral oak, another 3-4 in bottle before release. One of two cuvees San Fereolo produces in this fashion. 95% Barbera 5% Nebbiolo. Absolutely stunning , black cherry, woody, licorice undertones. Nice acidity and mild tannins — 9 years ago

Beautiful CDP, light balsamic, dark red and black ripe fruits, fresh and powerful. Could use some time for sure, decanting, definitively a good idea — 9 years ago

Whomp. Rhone blend from Provence. Villeneuve, Chateau de Roquefort's owner, lost all of his vines in a hail storm in 2012. Soon after, vignerons from near and far, 37 to be exact, started donating vines, grapes, or must, enough to start a cuvée and what resulted is a beautiful creature born out of the solidarity of friends and confidants. Do not pass this one up.
