Black raspberries and some floral and herbal notes on the nose, medium acid and med/low tannins... enough to linger. Mostly fruits on the tongue with some lingering spices. Dangerously drinkable! — 2 months ago
Minerals and strawberry nose, round body, low acid, nice tart strawberry taste. Perfect for drinking on an April day in protest of the late spring snowstorm!! — 9 days ago
"Lush, pineapple, green apple, buttery". Right on Molly. Fantastic easy sipper. — a month ago
Black fruits on the nose (blueberry, coffee, black cherry and lilac per the bottle... don't get all that!!), big body, good acid and tannins, lingering pepper. Yum! — 2 months ago
Light, tart nose with slight olive briny minerals. Medium body, good drying acid, very mild lemon and young blossoms. Not bad, but not much going on with this wine. Delicate.
Winemaker notes: All three varieties of grapes in the Field Blend are grown in Suisun Valley. The dry farmed King vineyard brings us beautiful old-vine Grenache Blanc, with the delicate Albarino and Verdelho growing in the adjacent Babcock Vineyard. The trio were gently pressed together, and fermented as one wine. Total elevage is 10 months in neutral french oak.
