Friday night, I was looking for something interesting and found this. I’m noticing “Bourbon Barrel Aged” wines more often in past few years. I did not know Layer Cake made one. Ruby color with purple hue on rim. Aromas and flavors of black cherry, blackberry, vanilla, pencil, chocolate and sweet caramel. Like name says, It almost tastes like cake...like chocolate cherry cake with caramel sauce. It sounds sweet but dry. and does have some tannins. Definitely interesting! — 7 years ago
