Classic Pinotage aromas of spicy mulberries, plum pudding and cherries, supported by smoky bacon nuances. Juicy and accessible with soft palate and delicious fruit concentration. This cheerfully unwooded wine can be served with a generous slice of pizza or a barbeque, ideal for a "braai." Perfect with almost any happy casual occasion! — 12 years ago
Cachapoal Valley, Chile - A complex wine with excellent integration between fruit and oak. This Cabernet Sauvignon has appealing structure and cassis notes. A touch of Syrah adds notes of spices and juicy tannins. Ideal with lamb, grilled steak, and cheese. — 12 years ago
Our Mirassou California Cabernet Sauvignon displays deep rich blackberry and black currant flavors. These primary flavors are complimented by secondary flavors of vanilla and hints of toasted oak and brown spice. This wine is full bodied with a soft finish of moderate length. This wine is at its best if enjoyed within a year of release, but should be able to age in the bottle for up to three years. — 12 years ago
The 2008 Traditions Merlot features grapes from a number of our estate vineyards in Eastern Washington's Wahluke Slope. Established in 2006, the Wahluke Slope is a sub-region within the Columbia Valley appellation. Located midway between Seattle and Spokane it is bordered by the Columbia River to the southwest and Hanford Reach National Monument to the east. The climate here is warm enough during the day to fully ripen grapes, yet cool enough at night to ensure bright acids and firm tannins. The 2008 Traditions Merlot is elegant, balanced and approachable. The nose is bright and forward with cherries, berries and plums wrapped in crème brulée and brown sugar. The flavors are a seamless blend of fruit, oak and acidity. Blend: 78% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Malbec & 1% Barbera. — 12 years ago
First of all, before I even tasted it, I just couldn’t stop smelling it. Rich, intense cherry, muscular dark fruit, spiked milk chocolate…truly intoxicating. This is one of the first wines in a while where I just was completely romanced by the aromatics and got so distracted that I almost didn’t get to the tasting part. The beauty carries through to the palate. The chocolate plays a bass note as rich, plush, dark, velvety fruits saturate the palate. The tannins provide structure without aggression and are actually quite tender. I could not believe how good this wine was for ONLY $15. (Are you listening?) If you’re looking for a smooth and supple Cabernet that doesn’t compromise on power, it’s right in front of you. Go get a Bridgman. You can thank me later. — 12 years ago

Central Coast, CA- Mom always said, "Don't run with scissors". Dark cassis, cedar and hints of eucalyptus dominate on the wine's rich nose, while notes of anise, blackberry and cherry fill the palate. Broad, supple finish. Best with steak, roasts and meat stews. — 12 years ago
Paso Robles, Central Coast, CA - Coastline Cellars Cabernet offers fresh aromas and flavors of blackcurrant, spiced plum, and vanilla. The long finish with soft tannins and good structure is highly desirable. — 12 years ago
Overview This is a Cab in the classic California jammy style—and we couldn’t help but love it. It’s easy to write off this ubiquitous, cutesy bottle when you see it on a grocery shelf, but it handily won our tasters over in blind tastings. The rich fruit and bold tannins are tough to hate, and if you’re a fan of New World reds, you’ll go nuts. And feel free to put it in a brown paper bag before drinking. Nose Our blind tasters noticed strong dark berries, prunes, and even a hint of chocolate. Mouth It’s rich and expansive, with a definite hit of California tannin. — 12 years ago

14 Hands Merlot exhibits classic Washington aromas of blackberries and dark stone fruits. Blackberries are repeated on the palate with notes of cherries and spice. While soft and luxurious in the mouth, this wine has a firm backbone of tannins. — 12 years ago
