Started harsh and bitter, but as it sat and warmed a bit and also the next day, it proved complex and thought-provoking. Pretty golden yellow color. Big, warm weather fruit on the nose and in the mouth. Lingered. Must try again to make better call. — 9 years ago
Really, Really like this wine. Beautiful yellow/green color. Aroma of citrus especially tangerine. On palate, green apple, lemon and tangerine. Lingers unlike many whites. Yummy classic NZ SB. — 9 years ago
Not sure if it's on the backside or if it's just a gentle wine. Had big red fruit, dark cherry, plum, etc. But still felt light in the mouth. Not a long finish, but seemed well balanced. — 9 years ago
Beautiful to look at. Nice big nose, but a bit flabby in the mouth; not great tannins. Nice but not spectacular — 9 years ago
Nice wine. Definitely a little brother of a Barolo. More tangy cherry and warm raspberry, chalk, Cedar and chocolate. Easy to drink. — 9 years ago

When in the mood for a big, juicy red wine, this fits the bill. Almost black in color, and full of dark red fruits, currants, blackberries and ripe plums. Good tannins, but pretty well-balanced. Surprising wine. — 9 years ago
