The last Old Vines Vital made by late António Carvalho. Amber in colour but fresh with great fruit and acidity. Still years to go. — 9 years ago
Complex with firm tannins. Great Touriga Franca aromas (ashes, pencil shavings). A superb wine drinking beautifully. — 9 years ago
One of the two single-vineyard Leda wines, together with Vinha da Ribeira, made only in 2004. Lush with indistinguishable Ferreirinha aromas and very smooth tannins, the wine, maybe due to the vineyards' southern exposure, has started to become slightly inky and tired. Probably to be drank up. — 9 years ago

I have always thought, and once again confirmed, that this 92 Reserva is one of the best Douro reds from 90's. Still much alive, showing both secondary and tertiary aromas. The slightly reduced metallic nose disappeared with aeration. — 9 years ago
Juha Videman
A positive surprise. Probably their best red ever. Round tannins, a bit low in acidity, velvety with a lot of dark ripe fruits. — 9 years ago
