The licorice and kirsch liquor are what this is all about. Like a barbaresco on steroids but without the violets or pretty flowers. This wine has changed quickly over the year and is not at it's peak. Must find many more. — 10 years ago

This is rocket fuel. Dominant note is alcohol hiding most fruit. Even with long decant still to young and/or imbalanced. Not the kind of wine where you reach for another sip. Maybe 5-10 years to wait? — 10 years ago

Very good Rosso. High acid yet balanced with licorice. Can't imagine what the 2012 BdM will taste like given the quality here. Can age this wine for several years, barely ready to drink now. — 10 years ago

Debatable vs the 2011 but still may prefer the 2011 for higher acidity and salinity. Very very good though, top tier. Love the sour citrus notes. Makes you want to drink more. — 10 years ago
