Sharp acidity to cut through fatty meats or robust cheeses. Spicy, lightly tannic with a hint of effervescence (possibly acid playing tricks). — 6 years ago
Cranberry, cherry, herbs with light floral notes and good minerality — 6 years ago
Dark bitter chocolate and liquorice with present tannin. Not for me but could be nice with a salty lamb or beef dish — 6 years ago

A rich and delicious blend. On first opening it was sweet fruited and rather simple. However, after about 2 hrs of decanting fruitiness gave way to an excellent earthy character that balanced the structure perfectly. The wine is dark fruited, lightly spicy (black pepper/baking spice) and forest floor earthy. Hints of fig and dried plum round out the body that finishes long. Drinkable on its own but would also be excellent with rosemary and mint lamb or fall vegetable dishes. Nicely done. Should age well for at least a decade. — 5 years ago
