Complex & sweet. Vanilla, Sweet Cherry, Whiskey, Oak, Wood Sap, Orange Peel, Musky Perfume, and a bit or rich cake. Very tasty, and quite complex. — 7 years ago
dark raspberry & cherry aroma..Oak, Slate, &.spice. Moderately dry. quite good for $9.00. Decanted for a bit. Fruit & tannins are well balanced. 1st Chianti Ive actually enjoyed. Accompanied with red wine sausage, with sweet peppers, olives, and oregano/thyme potatoes Au Gratin (made without cream & cheese). — 6 years ago

Sweet berry & rich juicy fruits on the nose. Sweet woody incense (almost vanilla like) as the wine took on some air. Very drying, tannic, and puckering on the palate. Stoney. I enjoyed the aromas more than the taste... — 7 years ago

Strawberry, & Cherry aromas. Dry & woody, Cherry, Smoke, Stoney Mineral flavors. Good for the price. Great aromas, but fairly generic in the glass. — 7 years ago

Much too bold and tannic for my tastes. The dark fruits are definitely there, but they are puckering, and not balanced at all. I found it to be abrasive. It was destined to become a bottle of cooking wine, but luckily some friends found it good enough to finish. I wouldn’t buy this again (and it was picked for my taste... somehow). I’ve never had a California wine I liked, so it’s ironic that this was somehow selected for me based on what kind of chocolate I like... at least I tried something I would never have purchased... — 6 years ago
