Sweat and perfumed nose. Deep opaque ruby red and slightly viscous in the glass. Sweet and very moreish, especially with strong blue cheese like Bleu de Causes. Quite delicious. — 9 years ago

Really very very nice for the price. Great value for money. — 8 years ago
Sweet ripe red fruit on the nose, although it's a little shy. Deep ruby red right to the edge of the glass. Well balanced and seemingly light initially but develops in the mouth to a lovely spicy finish with very good length. Should be good drinking for some time to come I would imagine. — 8 years ago
Really beautifully constructed wine. Even at 10 years old it's a dense garnet red with a Massive nose that overflows with sweet ripe black fruit. On the palate it's beautifully balanced with a hint of pepper but smooth and very long lived. I loved it. — 9 years ago
Opaque garnet with no edge. Predominant high tones on the nose. Thin and sharp with high acidity and a pretty robustly tannic finish. Hopefully this will balance up if cellared for another few years. — 8 years ago

Very pale yellow and slightly cloudy. Green gooseberries on the nose with a high tone. Fresh with a slight 'zing' on the front of the tongue and plenty of green fresh fruit. Long lived in the mouth. — 9 years ago

Disappointingly light, both in terms of colour density and flavour. Not an unpleasant wine, but not a typical Barolo and definitely not a bargain for the price. — 8 years ago
