This sparkling wine is good! It was left to me and my wife by a house-sitter, but you should be able to find a bottle for about $15.
If I had my druthers, on a weekend like the one we just had in San Francisco, I'd have a light lunch at Sol Food with a nice refreshing limeade. The next best thing would be a nice inexpensive charcuterie plate and a glass of this stuff out on my patio.
It's light and refreshing with a subtle hint of berries that have just begun to ripen.
Not bad at all, for the price! — 10 years ago

I purchased it at my local Safeway because it was one of their featured wines and I was looking for a nice affordable red to go with my wife's delicious puttanesca. It was $12.99 after my Safeway card discount.
I have to admit, I wasn't that intrigued by it's bouquet after pouring it and getting my nose in there, which is rare. The first taste was...okay. That's about the extent of it with this red. I even poured myself another glass after dinner and chalked it up to just being a bit tired (after hitting some infield to my son), took off my shoes and socks, got comfortable on the couch with my wife...and...it helped. But only a little. This is a good wine, but not a great wine FOR THE PRICE, which is what this is all about. There are better wines you can find at a lower price.
All in all, I think the wine is a bit complex, not very easy to pair with food and is average as a wine to enjoy at the end of the day while you watch a movie with your wife. — 10 years ago
