Very good Bourbon. A mild alcohol burn on the nose combined with a lot of cherry and honey, yet not heavily sweet.
That cherry really comes through when taking a sip. There's some almond and pecan, and a creamy milk chocolate that sits on the tongue.
I love the burn of it as it slides down my throat. Seems perfect to sip on on a cold winter day. I'd definitely get this again. — 10 years ago
Sweet vanilla and maple smell with some cedar in the background. A nice sting of alcohol on the nose. Just enough to let you know your getting too close. Very Earthy taste. Mushrooms and dirt and munched wood, but I mean that in a good way. There that strong black tea that I have come to expect, and love in all Maker's Mark. The burn is hot and lingers like eating chili, it almost makes you sweat. Something else in the back that I can't quite place...very rustic like eating roasted vegetables. Would add some water to make it a little easier to sip. Fantastic Bourbon if you can get it. — 10 years ago
Sweet and refreshing. A good simple go to on a warm day. Nice when I want something sweet and not too "alcohol-y" — 10 years ago
I've heard good things about this one, and I have to say I'm not thrilled or even too interested in finishing the bottle. The smell is strong with rubbing alcohol. Some Mild vanilla; nothing really comes forward to say put me down your throat now. The taste just feels bland. Nothing pops I feel like I'm struggling to find any taste beyond a medicinal burn that stings instead of leaving a warming burn. Should be fine to mix, but for the price I can get something I know I love. — 10 years ago
Much smoother with slightly muted flavors as compared to the Maker's Mark classic. It has some nice spice and a good burn that lingers on the tongue. Hints of dark chocolate and black tea, and what I imagine having a wheat stock dangling from your mouth. I would take this over classic Maker's Mark. — 10 years ago

Heavy rubbing alcohol smell at first, then a sweet chocolaty smell. Some vanilla and a nutty smell it feels like the aromas of being in a bakery.
Lots of spices on the tongue; allspice, cloves,a lot of Rye also. There's a mild oak taste followed by some honey and brown sugar. It honestly just taste like the best cake ever!
Not sure if I would pick up another bottle guess I'll just have to keep drinking away to make that decision. — 10 years ago
