Best so far this summer! Hands down. Will get more!! — 9 years ago
First off let me start by saying, only my second Red in a couple months: Beer & BBQ weather prevailed. I'm just relaxing and trying my best to temper my response to this offering. It's bold, it's subtle. It's got mellow fruity undertones and it is a magnet to the Havarti cheese I'm chasing it with. -I will comeback in a couple weeks to see if the other bottle has the same brash standing as this one has. It's even seems to have a slight port note and cherry-chocolate trace. I will stop at a couple small glasses tonight, and try this with a nice tenderloin tomorrow. — 8 years ago
To me, this is the epitome of a 'middle of the road' merlot. Merlot was my original joy, Chilean vintners to be precise. So for me, this was a bit flavour-flat without any strong distinguishing notes. Not much beyond fresh cherries and maybe slight, sharp blackberries. Start and finish are OK, but the body doesn't hold me. 7.5 for me. — 9 years ago

Nice, sharp bouquet, sultry nutty palette, with hints of cigar, citrus and blackberry.DFW (Damn fine wine) 2011 BC VQA — 9 years ago

Horror and distain! Sadness and a profound sense of loss. CORKED!! Found some of these gems dusted and hidden in a rack in the back of the closet. Filed away for a 09-10ish sunny day, but somehow forgotten. This was the last soldier. The final statement in a glorious offering. It was believed that, from the start he wanted to be as bold and nutty, yet as complex as the rest of his squad. He too only wanted to blaze in the fierce pouring that would have been. Perhaps?
