Damp basement nose…clunkiest mess ever (and heaviest bottle) but I suppose since it was 2008 in Germany the wine isn’t THAT bad. It’s 13.5% but it feels like they would have made a 16% Pinot if they could have. The acid is there tho, I’d happily try some of their newer wines. Maybe the best nose of any wine in recent memory. Drank it way too young but really wanted to try. 1st half of the bottle was delicious if only the fruit was a little muted, 2nd half was special — 2 months ago

Beautiful nose of violets and some herbs (maybe thyme?). This was a coravin pour to check in so hardly doing it any justice. But has a lot of potential. 13% alcohol — 5 months ago
