Vegetal on the nose and layered on the palate. Subtle, light fruits play with earth, minerals and smoke. Medium tannins and more “earth” than fruit for this value blend. Improves with time to breathe. — 10 months ago
Tried this at a Cordon tasting and this stood out as the best of their great lineup. Rich and complex with dark fruits, tobacco and oak. One to savor! — a year ago
Received this as a gift and thoroughly enjoyed! Well balanced dark fruits with some smoke/leather and rich herbs, topped off with the right amount of tannic structure. — a year ago
Though I tend to enjoy the NZ style sauvignon blancs, this was not for me. Dry, crisp and citrusy, but the acidity was overwhelming, and it was lacking in depth or complexity. Perhaps enjoyable if you're seeking a light, spritzy bargain wine, but I wouldn't buy again. — 8 months ago
Not as bold as the California cabs I’m accustomed to, but easy drinking. Fruity and balanced with very subtle spice and few tannins. Wouldn’t rank as a favorite, but definitely a good value. — 10 months ago
Starts off okay, but is very tart and almost sour on the finish. I’m hoping it just needs to open up, but would not buy this again. — a year ago
Beautiful showing of a classic Cab. Some cocoa and berries on the nose, with a bouquet of dark fruit, leather and mocha on the palate. I found heavier dried fruit (raisin?) upon opening that opened up to softer dark berries with aeration. Moderate tannins and mild acidity. No complaints! — 8 months ago
Impressive “weekday wine” as a very drinkable, but perhaps not overly remarkable, balanced cab. Wouldn’t rank on my favorites list but a good value. — 10 months ago
This is a big velvety red! More fruit on the nose than the palette, and rather resembles a Syrah in its weight. Some lovely dark fruits hide behind more dominant mocha, licorice, earth and leather. Acid and tannins are present but not overbearing. Nicely done! — a year ago
