This may be due to the age, but this port tastes almost more like brandy than traditional port. Our friend's mother found this bottle of 1984 vintage while cleaning her house, and we weren't really sure it would still be good. Luckily it had been stored well (and, well, it's port) so we lucked out. This might sound unpleasant to some, but it reminds me of a bubbly and slightly less sweet Manischewitz. Tasted great with goat cheese and pumpkin soup. — 9 years ago
