Pleasant but not as smooth as their varietal Merlot. Fruity, worked well with liver and onions, roesti. — 10 years ago

Elegant with good structure and rich fruits. A fine example of Servagnin, the Morges Region strain of this grape, saved in extremis, with claims it dates back several centuries. — 10 years ago

This is a curiosity wine and enjoyable plus a conversation piece! It is an old old Swiss grape variety, Gouais in French, known as the Casanova of grapes for spawning so many offshoots. Chanton is the only winery that makes it, I believe. Lemon notes, strong acidity, dry and crisp but remarkably long in mouth. — 10 years ago
