This is a good wine for some inexpensive home sipping. I’m in Texas, and I think this wine is around $18 at HEB. Wish it were a bit cheaper, but it’s usually a toss up between Decoy cab and this - hubby likes the Lapis Red Blend and I like Decoy. — 3 years ago
It just wasn’t for me. It was very tart and very dry, and I wouldn’t even say it was fruity, which would have been redeeming. — 3 years ago
If you like Cooper and Thief or a deeper, slightly sweet red blend or bourbon barrel, this one is for you. It’s also way below that price point. Highly recommend! — 3 years ago
Just wasn’t for me. It really didn’t taste like a cab to me and had a very tart, juicy flavor that melted into a dry and sour aftertaste. Was worth a try but not going on my regular list. — 3 years ago
I love this wine! Has almost a smoky taste, then peppery, and then a dark berry flavor. It’s a favorite and I don’t live far from the winery, which has amazing service and great wines. For a Texas wine, it competes well against your average red table wine. — 3 years ago

Bought this on a whim. It’s now one of my husband’s favorites and he’s not a big wino. As others have stated, it has a multitude of flavors, almost thick or syrupy consistency, warm, but jammy, easy to drink, but also rich. I love it around Christmas or when we go skiing. — 3 years ago
