Really fresh, very even not very buttery has a crisp light floral notes. We were fortunate enough to eat it with beef tartare. Beef tartar ingredients were capers spicy Dijon mustard, shallots and a raw egg yolk. Main course was monkfish with grilled onions, garlic garlic, lemon thyme and mold and salt. Paired fantastic — 6 years ago
I open the 2008 last week and it was perfect. First spi was not perfect it needed air but man once it opened up it was great. Very well rounded yet smooth bold had all the qualities a good cab should. I wouldn't let this one sit to much longer as it may fall after another yr. — 10 years ago
Crisp light balanced tannins, notes of green apple. Once it's open and warms up a bit keeps a beautiful balance of acid and tannins but gets more buttery with temperature. Sorry killer with cheese and nuts. It's a great food wine. Totally worth every penny and more. All in all great bang for your bucks — 5 years ago
At first when opened it had a very briny oyster aroma. after being open and sitting about 15 minutes it had more of a dark blackberry or wild dark cherry aroma. Very smooth deep and soft cannons. Thankfully not acidic but the alcohol smell came out the longer it was in the glass. Didn't taste like alcohol but the aroma was there. Has a very fruit forward taste not sweet but even — 6 years ago
I got thos wine in November as a gift from my co worker who drinks tequila. I think it was drinkable for some over the edge for others. Dark chocolate and fruit on the nose smells more like a port. It was soft just falling so drink it. I wasn't sure how it was stored but I would drink meow — 8 years ago
I really didn't like this wine when I first opened it. Glad I read a review that it took about an HR to open up. Thank you Ken Z because this wine was night and day different. Smooth well rounded became a delish wine. — 5 years ago
It was much lighter than I expected. It feels like it has fallin. The text was more flat. Still some nice floral notes left mild raspberry. — 6 years ago
This vintage was disappointing in my opinion. It was a dry not very complex cab. Mount Veeder is generally known for having very complex cabernets. This particular vintage and wine Mt Brave was something I feel after a glass or two will give me heartburn. It is approachable for amateur wine drinkers who aren't looking for something with a lot of depth. — 10 years ago

Met the wine maker at Safeway today...delightful fellow. Reminded me of a cop but in a good way😉
He signed the bottle and sent me on my way. Got home to enjoy it with a penne pasta and stuffed mushroom dish. It has a very mineral front initial taste smooths out to a nice balance and a slight hint of butteriness. Would pair fantastic with oysters or any kind of shellfish dish. Also I think a cream sauce pasta it white wine sauce. It's a bit big for a white great for food not your porch wine. — 3 years ago
