Me and @Jordan Binks come along to the pub to support @James Reeve on his date night. Me and Jordan are a bit congested tonight and can only smell from one nostril, so our tasting isn’t up to usual standards. Nonetheless a drinkable red. Will drink again. — 7 years ago

Couldn't of found of a better way to start a trip to Milano. We found a lovely wine shop with views over the Duomo where the sommelier recommended this beautiful Sauvignon Blanc. It paired fantastically with the parma, prosciutto and various other selections of hams that the Italians love. I could certainly get used to the Milanese lifestyle :) this deserves a 10! — 8 years ago

On the nose: Sweet raspberry jam, vanilla, rose petals, nail varnish, apple, honey. Have you ever had a wine that smelt like it should be a fragrance? I could spray this on myself.

Tasting bitter apple, citrus fruit/orange zest, blackberry, cinnamon, oak.

Enjoyed more than the previous bottle.

Cherry, cranberry, rhubarb, cigar aromas. Tastes of muller corner (strawberry yogurt), aniseed (sambuca), slightly smoky, caramelised nuts. Very warming, high alcohol content, dry, high tannings made tongue feel rough, distinct fruit yoghurt flavour with underlying aniseed.

Finally got a picture of this wine, it wasn't appearing on delectable but found it in the end. After visiting the wetherspoons and trying their blossom hill rose it was nice to find a place that stocked something else. The colour of the Vigné-Lourac was opaque and beautiful, it went down an absolute treat. Very refreshing, smooth and would drink again. — 8 years ago

@Thomas Binks Hi Tom, I may of been drunk when posting this which may of skewed my rating by 1 or 2 points. None the less it tasted good and we shall order when you visit Cambridge so you can rate for yourself.

On the nose we are getting floral, dark fruits, sharpie marker. On the palette we are getting herbs/spices, blackberries, blueberries. Medium bodied It’s smooth and drinkable for the price. But felt we wanted something a little more complex and exciting. — 7 years ago

Earthy aroma, peppery, no significant fruit flavours, almost dusty, maybe better with some meat. Not for us. Might try make a ragu with it? — 7 years ago

We took a trip to majestic with the aim to find a nice bottle of red for under £15 and we loved what we chose! Smooth and subtly fruity. It went down a little too easy! — 8 years ago
