Never disappoints. Blend of SLV and Fay vineyards. Could probably age for longer but ready to drink now too. Deserves a prime piece of meat alongside it! — 6 years ago
Luscious blend of Tannat, Petit Verdot, and Pinotage. Velvety dark fruits on the palate. Go VA indeed :) — 6 years ago
Did this as a vertical tasting 2012 Alter Ego, now onto secondary notes of stewed fruits, leather and coffee. Maybe not the case for all 2000s, but would even say this was a tad past it’s peak. — 6 years ago
Curious to see how the 2010 vintage is drinking - needs more time to soften those tannins! Great potential, dark fruits, hints of vanilla and coffee. Will revisit in a few years. — 6 years ago
Last from Contigo’s ship stores! Happy to save this for last. Drank this without recalling the price (~$15) and was super impressed with well how it aged. No need to decant, wine was robust but smooth around the edges with dark and red fruits. Delicious paired with a potato and scallion frittata. Would absolutely buy this again and allow it some time to mature. Another superb value from Argentina! — 6 years ago
Boozy at >15% alcohol! Let it breathe and give a quick chill in the fridge. Full bodied powerhouse of red and dark fruits and a touch of new oak. — 6 years ago
Ready to drink now. Ripe fruit, soft tannins. — 6 years ago
El padre sweet talked into a little vertical tasting; opened this and the 2004. 2003 was luscious, 2004 a tad stringent, but both easy drinking with and without food. — 6 years ago
This deserves a spot on any by the glass wine list. Classic red fruits with touches of oak and vanilla, great by itself or with a meal. Superb value. — 6 years ago

Ready to drink! Dark fruits take the center stage, lots of structure makes for a great pairing with meat (or Pat LaFrieda burgers - delicious!) Good to know the 2012s are accessible now! — 6 years ago
