Vintage 2016. A French import from M. Chapoutier. Olive and toasty oak on the nose. Big mid-pallet explosion of smoke, pepper, and wood with a hint of black cherry. Tannins take hold around the gums and tip of the tongue rather than the cheeks. Could benefit from extended cellaring. Would definitely have this one with a meal rather than on its own. — 4 years ago
