Now for a bit more commentary. I don't think this tasted like an Oregon Pinot - or at least not what I think of. There was not the funky earthiness that I've only recent begun to appreciate. This seems to me like some sort of ripe fruity blend. A bit jammy, but overall I thought it was quite nice. I read others thought it is past it's time. Maybe the 1.5 format of this bottle helped it stay longer, as past-it's-prime never crossed my mind.
I liked this wine. It seemed a bit subtle after Rob's 2003 Oregon Pinot, but I only had a couple sips, so didn't really get a feel for it. — 12 years ago
Drank what I had in my cellar a while back, the last bottle just a few months ago, and I know what you mean. You really have to drink this first; other reds easily overpower it, but it's because of the grape (100% Cab Franc)
